Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Blooming Grove, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Blooming Grove Township is proposing to repair the existing bridge located along Madden Road, approximately 4,000 feet (0.8 miles) west of its intersection with Route 0739. The existing bridge provides vehicular access across York Creek. In accordance with the FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps, the project site is located entirely within the 100-year floodplain per the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Flood Insurance Rate Flood Map 42103C0280, Effected Dated of October 6, 2000. No wetlands exist within the project site. Blooming Grove Township is proposing to repair the existing bridge located along Madden Road, approximately 4,000 feet (0.8 miles) west of its intersection with Route 0739. The repairs include the following: Remove deteriorated concrete from the end diaphragms, and clean and patch exposed reinforced concrete. Seal cracking at concrete deck overhangs under parapet deflection joint. Remove sediment deposit within 50-feet of existing bridge on upstream and downstream sides. Seal pavement cracks.
