Renovation of a municipal facility in Palmer, Alaska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is requesting bids from qualified contractors to refinish the exterior on Station 12-1 and 12-2. Station 12-1 - the exterior surfaces is rough cut plywood previously painted. The facility was originally finished with paint and is in poor condition wooden painted surface will need to be scraped off on most of the building. The North side of the station is CMU painted block and the surface is in reasonable condition. Station 12-2 - the exterior surfaces is T1-plywood and previously painted the surface is in reasonable condition. The corner boards on the front and trim around the overhead doors need to be replaced. The unpainted communication shed will be painted as well to match the station. Exterior color schemes will include walls, doors, door and window frames and trim, soffits. Fascia on this this facility is metal and will not be painted under this contract. The Contractor must be properly licensed and insured to work on Borough projects.
