Request for Bids (RFB) Washington County Campus Asphalt Replacement Project - Secured Sheriff Lot Washington County WI RFB #FM22-35 May 5, 2022 The asphalt replacement project is located at the Herbert J. Tennies Government Center on the Washington County Campus located at the above address. Work includes pulverization of existing asphalt, removal of excess material, grading and establishing the base, placing new asphalt and paint striping. Unit Pricing shall be itemized for over-excavating and installation of geogrid. The lot is open 7 days a week for contractors to visit the site on their own. Access to the Secured Sheriff Lot is restricted and visitors will need to be let in by sheriff staff. To enter, drive up to the gate at either the Wilson Ave gate or the Schmidt Road gate and press the button to speak with dispatch. State your business and you should be granted access. All activities are monitored at all times in these lots. The projects have specific completion dates: -The Secured Sheriff Lot shall be completed by September 9, 2022 Construction time is of the essence. Completion delays are subject to liquidated damages. All bidders shall be experienced in this type of work and will need complete and submit a Bidderis Statement of Qualifications in order to be pre-qualified with Washington County for this work. This completed form is to be received no later than 5 days prior to the bid opening. The Bidders Qualification Form is included in the bid document for this project. Bids shall be prepared in accordance with contract documents and associated plans prepared for this project by Washington County. Award made for this project will be to a single prime contractor and partial bids will not be accepted. Bid security shall be by a qualified surety in the form of a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount, and shall be submitted with the bid. Failure to submit the required bid security as part of the firm's sealed bid will result in immediate rejection of the firm's bid. Accepted bidder will also be required to furnish in the amount of 100% of the contract price, satisfactory Performance/ Payment Bond & an acceptable Certificate of Insurance as well. Washington County reserves the right to waive any informalities or technicalities and to reject any and all bids or parts thereof deemed to be unsatisfactory or not in the County's best interest. Furthermore, Washington County reserves the right to cancel any order or contract for failure of the successful bidder to comply with the terms, conditions and specifications of the bid request and/or contract.
