First Reading ______________________________________________ Complete pre-demolition removal of building residuals (thermostat switches, NiCd batteries, capacitors, light tubes, etc.). Complete pre-demolition removal of regulated asbestos-containing material. Physical disconnection and on-site removal of known utilities (water, sewer, gas, phone, electric). Complete demolition, transportation, and disposal of the building (including basement/footers). Complete removal, transportation, and disposal (or recycling) of the asphalt. Importing and placement of soil for backfill. Backfilling of basement. Grading the site for positive drainage. Importing and placement of topsoil, seed, and mulch. The City of Rossford as no responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or sufficiency of any bid documents obtained from any source other than the source indicated in these documents. Obtaining these documents from any other source(s) may result in obtaining incomplete and inaccurate information and in failure to be sent any addenda to these documents. No questions will be accepted after this date/time. Bids must be submitted on the forms contained within the bid packet and must contain the names of every person or company interested therein and shall be accompanied by either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in the amount of 100% of the amount bid with satisfactory corporate surety, or by a certified check on a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the amount of the Bid, subject to conditions provided in thE Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Maintenance and Guarantee Bond in the amount of 100% of the Bid. Any Bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids, but no bidder shall withdraw his Bid within 60 days after the actual opening thereof. The Contractor affirmatively represents to the local contracting authority that it is not subject to a finding for recovery under Ohio Revised Code 9.24, or that it has taken the appropriate remedial steps required under 9.24 or otherwise qualifies under that section. The Contractor agrees that if this representation is deemed to be false, _ the contract shall be void and initio as between the parties to this contract, and any funds paid by the state hereunder shall be immediately repaid to the local contracting authority, or an action for recovery may be immediately commenced by the local government and/or for recovery of said funds The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, waive irregularities in any Bid, and accept any bid which is deemed most favorable to the Owner. Eagle Point Elementary encompasses approximately 27,000 square feet with a full basement and was originally constructed circa 1929 with additions circa 1970. General construction and finish observations include a combination of poured concrete, concrete block, and brick exterior walls; a combination of unfinished brick, concrete, plaster, and gypsum wallboard interior walls; a combination of vinyl floor tile, linoleum, hardwood, carpet, and concrete flooring; acoustic ceiling tile (ACT) drop ceilings, plaster ceilings; and a flat metal roof deck supported on metal joists covered with a multilayer rubber membrane roo
