The Project consists of constructing 5,302 lineal feet of 8" PVC sanitary sewer pipe, and installation of 15 Manholes Type A 4' Diameter Type 1 Frame Closed Lid and all appurtenances. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 7:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m., Some of the project funding would be from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Attention is called to the fact that the firm must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin and that Federal Section 3 and all other Federal, State and Local provisions shall apply. The City of Altamont reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to waive any informalities in the procurement process. Per the requirements of the Steel Products Procurement Act (30 ILCS 565 et seq.), any steel products used in accordance with this project shall be manufactured or produced in the United States of America. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible forfull or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
