The Augusta County Service Authority (ACSA), on behalf of the Augusta Regional Landfill, is in the process of constructing the next phase of the landfill. Part of this construction includes the installation of initial erosion and sediment controls for a borrow area pond in compliance with the Virginia Erosion and Sediment Control Handbook (Handbook). This project requires the installation of 1,133 ft of super silt fence with one break, and the installation of 367 ft of safety fence. Contractors should include the following in the Quote: 1. All labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the installation of the super silt fence. o Price will be provided as cost per foot of super silt fence installed. o Super silt fence will meet the standards outlined in section 3.05 of the Handbook. o Manufacturers' specifications will be provided to ACSA for approval prior to installation. 2. All labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the installation of the safety fence. o Price will be provided as cost per foot of safety fence installed. o Safety fence will meet the standards outlined in section 3.01 of the Handbook. o Manufacturers' specifications will be provided to ACSA for approval prior to installation. 3. Mobilization Costs. o Price to be provided as a lump sum cost. 4. Proof of Insurance ACSA will be responsible for the following: 1. Wetland Permit. 2. Grubbing the site prior to Contractor mobilization. 3. Surveying and staking the locations for fence installation. 4. Permanent seeding and final stabilization. The start date for this work is dependent upon ACSA acquiring the applicable permits.
