The Town of Castleton will accept proposals from all interested companies for approximately 450 feet (estimated) of fence and gate installation/repair at the Town's WWTF and the installation of two new gates, 20 feet (estimated), at the Town's Transfer Station. Cost proposals will include ground preparation, material, and labor. Every effort will be made to salvage existing fencing at both facilities. Any posts shall be installed using industry standards and take into account the weather for this region of the country. Prepare 36"- 42" holes that are 11"-12" diameter for fence posts. Existing fencing/gates that are determined to be salvageable, will be repaired to meet industry standards. The Town of Castleton accepts no responsibility for any expenses incurred by the Firm in the preparation and presentation of an offer. Such expenses shall be borne exclusively by the firm. The Town of Castleton reserves the right to reject any or all offers, to waive any informality or irregularity not affected by law, to evaluate, in its absolute discretion, the offers submitted, and to award the contract according to the offer which best serves the interest of the Town, or to not award the contract if the Town determines that it is not in its best interest to do so. All submittals shall become the property of the Town of Castleton, and shall not be returned to the vendor, provided that all proprietary information and/or processes of the vendor contained therein, if any, shall remain the property of the vendor. All information qualifying as proprietary under the Vermont Freedom of Information Act, and designated as such, shall be considered confidential and such information shall not be subject to review by outside individuals or organizations, except as may be compelled by judicial process and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and Town policies. All proprietary information must be clearly marked as "Proprietary". It is the policy of the Town of Castleton to accept questions and inquiries from potential bidders receiving this RFP.
