Site work and paving for a road / highway in Castleton, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and road / highway.
Repave approximately 5,450 ft/2 of existing paved area with a shim and overlay. The area consists of parking area and driveway. Town will mark the exact area to be paved with grade stakes and pink/orange flagging. The second area the town will prepare the area for paving and the means and methods of new paving will require a full depth of 4-inches (4”) of new pavement and crowned to shed water away from the existing structures and toward the railroad tracks to the north. Pave an apron approximately 100-feet long by 37-feet wide in front of the fuel tank and pumps. The pavement shall be placed with a 2.5” binder (base coat) and 1.5-inch overlay (topcoat) The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids when deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. Paving must be completed between July 5, 2023 and September 30, 2023
