Period of Performance: 07/15/2022 to 08/15/2022 00010 Re-paint Interior and Exterior of Moses Carver House IAW Statement of Work Product/Service Code: Z2JA Product/Service Description: REPAIR OR ALTERATION OF MUSEUMS AND EXHIBITION BUILDINGS Delivery: 08/15/2022 Work consists of: The contractor shall furnish the supplies and materials (except as specifically specified herein), labor, insurance, equipment, etc., necessary to clean, prep, prime and paint exterior and interior painted surfaces of the Moses Carver House. Exterior painting consists of approximately 926 sf of siding and trim and posts, 90 sf of soffits and eaves, and 248 sf of porch ceilings (all measurements are approximations, to be verified by contractor). Also included are two exterior doors (77" x 30"), and ten four-over-four single hung windows (64" x 28"). Interior painting consists of 622 sf of wood paneled interior walls, three interior doors and casings, two exterior doors (77" x 30") and casings, and seven four-over-four single hung windows (64" x 28") and casings Contractor shall field verify all dimensions and quantities prior to start of work. All loose or flaking surfaces will be scraped and sanded prior to priming and painting. The contractor will repair any damaged surfaces, replace deteriorated window glazing; prep the surfaces for new paint; prime all surfaces to be painted with an oil-based primer; and apply two-coats of latex paint that matches the existing colors of the Moses Carver House. When removing deteriorated wood material, the contractor shall only remove wood that is deteriorated and shall salvage as much original building fabric as possible.
