Neither the Owner, nor the Architect will assume any responsibility for bids mailed or misdirected in delivery. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days from the opening of the bids. All bidders must use and complete all bid forms provided in the manner designated and must comply with all requirements contained in the instructions and specifications. Due to the special nature of the work involved that can only be seen by an in-depth visitation, the attendance of all the bidders is requested and STRONGLY ENCOURAGED as an integral and important element of the bidding process so that all bidders have an equal understanding of the scope of work involved. SINGLE-OVERALL CONTRACT BID Sealed Bid Proposals shall be received as follows: The bidder shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in the following trade(s): C008 General Construction or C009 General Construction/Alterations and Additions or C054 Site Work or C061 Athletic Fields/Synthetic Turf Subcontractors named in the Form of Bid Proposal for Structural Steel, Plumbing, Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning, and/or Electric, who perform any work on the Project must be prequalified prior to the submission of bids, pursuant to the State of New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC). Each bid must be accompanied by proof of Contractor's DPMC classification status. Bidders are required to comply with requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-1 et seq., "The Law Against Discrimination," and affirmative action, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.AC. 17:27-1 et seq. All bidders and their subcontractors shall be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. Prior to award, bidder must provide a Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, and a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue for the bidder and all subcontractors (i.e., "named subcontractors") whose prices are included in the Contractor's bid. Prepare site and base for the installation of the synthetic turf by owner under a separate contract. 2. The scope of the project includes the site grading and earthwork in preparation for the installation of a synthetic turf multi-purpose field. Earthwork includes the excavation to acceptable subbase material. Fill material may be required in areas of over-excavation to address existing unsuitable soils. Transport excavated material to the Indian Hill Elementary School, spread and seed over the existing area shown on the contract drawings. 3. Installation of the underground stormwater management system for the synthetic turf field consisting of an underground detention system, base stone and finish stone. Connection of the underground detention system to the existing on-site stormwater system. The installation of a concrete perimeter curb with timber nailer. 4. Furnish and installation of football goals. 5. Restoration of site as depicted on the contract drawings. ALTERNATE BID: 1. Furnish and installation of soccer goals. 2.
