Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Downers Grove, Illinois. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

As of June 29, 2022, bids received were rejected as they were over the budget. Project will rebid but no definite date yet. As of June 17, 2022 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on July 5, 2022. The project includes sidewalk ramp upgrades at various intersections and generally consists of the installation of approximately 3,940 square feet of 5" thick P.C.C. sidewalk, earth excavation, combination concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement, concrete barrier curb installation, modular block retaining wall installation, tree removal, all collateral work, and related grading and parkway and road restoration. All work must comply with the latest requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Public Right-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG), the Illinois Accessibility Code (IAC) and Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). The Village reserve the right to award based on any bid, combination of bids or all bids, whatever is deemed to be in the best interest of the Village. The Village Council reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities and to accept or reject any item of any Bid. A. Performance Bond or Letter of Credit: YES B. Certificate of Insurance: YES Description: If access to a driveway will be blocked, or water will be turned off, the Contractor shall give that resident or business proper written notification at least 24 hoursin advance. TheContractor must provide them the opportunity to remove their cars from the drive or make other arrangements, and prepare for any shutdown of the water system. Samples of written notices shall be submitted to the Engineer for approval. In addition, the Contractorshall be responsible for notifying the resident or business verbally on the morning of any driveway closure, to ensure awareness of the lack of access.
