Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Douglasville, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The Douglasville - Douglas County Water and Sewer Authority (hereafter referred to as the "Authority") is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the performance of the Whisper Trail Stormwater Improvement Project (the "Project"), as more fully described in the Invitation for Bids. The scope of work includes the provision by the Contractor of all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies necessary to complete the work. The Project will be "turn key" and require minimal involvement of Authority personnel. The work to be performed shall include, but is not limited to, the removal of approximately 104 linear feet (LF) of 24" corrugated metal pipe (CMP), one catch basin, two junction boxes, one concrete flume, curb and gutter, pavement, one driveway section, existing trees, and vegetation. The Project includes installation of 100 LF of 60" reinforced concrete pipe (RCP), two double wing catch basins (GDOT STD. 1034D), two headwalls (GDOT STD. 1125), concrete driveway, asphalt pavement, concrete trench cap, concrete curb and gutter and erosion control measures including a turbidity curtain. Protection of an existing power pole and coordination with the power provider to relocate guy wires as required is included in the scope of work for the Project. The Project site is located within Douglas County. Plans for Whisper Trail Stormwater Improvement Project have been prepared by Rindt, Inc., Brian Hart, PE All work will be performed within Authority easements and/or inside public right of way. All anticipated rights of way and easements required for the Project have been obtained. All anticipated federal, state, and local permits required for the Project have been obtained. All prospective bidders must hold a current Georgia Utility Contractors License and be on, or promptly qualify for inclusion on, the Authority's Approved Contractor List, without restriction or probationary status All bids must be accompanied by adequate bid security (certified check, bid bond, or irrevocable letter of credit) drawn in favor of the Authority and in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, which shall be subject to forfeiture as liquidated damages in the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder fail to promptly enter into the proposed contract for performance of the Project with the Authority. Award may be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder; however, the Authority reserves the right to reject all bids or any bid that is nonresponsive or submitted by a nonresponsible bidder. The Authority further reserves the right to waive technicalities and informalities in the Invitation for Bids and bids submitted.
