Prequalification of potential contractors for trails project work through 2024, for the following categories of work: - Trail Design & Flagging - Machine-Build Trail Construction - Trail Project Mgnt. In 2020, Bountiful City residents approved a General Obligation Bond that includes $2.0 Million for trails projects. In 2021, some preliminary corridor planning and flagging activities were performed for trails, mostly on land managed by the US Forest Service, and a NEPA application was submitted (Decision Memo anticipated June 2022). During early 2022, additional corridor master planning work was performed for an overall trails system to update the previous trails planning work. Bountiful City was also awarded a $500,000 grant for trails work. Bountiful City anticipates having 51 miles of new trails and 5 water crossing bridges built by the end of 2024. Trails will create a network for various user groups and ability levels. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
