It is the County's intent to provide a winter maintenance level of service that meets the expectations set by Perth County Council and accommodates transportation throughout the County's road network. The scope of work under this Winter Maintenance Service Delivery contract shall include the supply of equipment and labour, as specified, to perform winter maintenance on County roads as defined in Ontario Regulation 239/02 (Minimum Maintenance Standards for Municipal Highways) and as directed by the County. The general scope of this bid opportunity is to provide all equipment and labour, as specified, with the purpose of performing winter maintenance operations on upto 2 (preferred) of the County's 9 established winter maintenance plow routes. Winter operation duties will include, but not be limited to; plowing, winging, spreading winter maintenance materials, or any combination of the above; completing daily operators checks and logs, attending operator training sessions, providing and maintaining equipment in adequate condition to complete the winter maintenance work specified.
