The purpose of this tender is to solicit unit rate bids from qualified vendors for the hauling and delivery of treated and untreated bulk highway salts, F.O.B from the vendor depot location to the various public works operating facilitates throughout Perth County, for a 3-year term. The deliverables of this contract are to provide haul, deliver and unload bulk highways salts for the County of Perth, and its municipal partners of Perth East, North Perth, Town of St. Marys and the City of Stratford. Under this contract the successful vendor shall haul and deliver highway de-icing products F.O.B. from the Salt Supply Vendors depot location where the successful bidders trucks will be loaded with product, and the successful bidder will deliver salt product(s) to the public works facilitates where they will unload the bulk material. The objective of this procurement is to obtain unit rate pricing for the delivery, hauling and unloading of bulk highway salts to ensure a consistent supply of winter maintenance materials to meet winter maintenance objectives.
