Site work for a water / sewer project in Sioux Lookout, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The scope of work, in general terms, involves the installation of new pre-insulated HDPE watermain to the existing booster pump station site and the installation of new sanitary sewer and watermain from the Airport property (beneath Highway 516) for future development. Work will include but not limited to: (i) Mobilization and Demobilization (ii) Place and maintain detour signage (iii) Establish traffic/pedestrian control and environmental protection. (iv) Complete pre-construction survey layout (v) Construct new section of approximately 630 metres of new pre-insulated 250Ø DR11 HDPE watermain c/w appurtenances, along Fifth Avenue (as indicated), utilizing open cut or horizontal directional drilling methods (trenchless technology); and connect to existing watermain (vi) Replace section of existing building water service c/w appurtenances, from new or existing watermain and connect to existing water service, as indicated. (vii) Construct new section of approximately 120m of new 200Ø DR17 HDPE preinsulated sanitary sewer forcemain from airport property, beneath HWY 516 and complete connection into existing sanitary manhole, as indicated. Work to be completed utilizing horizontal directional drilling methods (trenchless technology). (viii) Construct new section of approximately 115m of new 250Ø DR11 HDPE preinsulated watermain c/w appurtenances from airport property, beneath HWY 516 and connect to existing watermain, as indicated. Work to be completed utilizing horizontal directional drilling methods (trenchless technology). (ix) Supply and install sections of Sched 40 steel casing sleeves beneath HWY 516 for new 250Ø HDPE watermain & 200Ø sanitary sewer forcemain (x) Establish temporary potable water system, including testing, as required.
