No bids will be accepted after the deadline date and time. Mailed bids and bids submitted in person, shall be in a sealed envelope with the landowners name and project written on the outside. The DLM is not responsible for equipment or timing issues that may affect receipt of the bids. It is the Land Management Committee policy that the landowner may select the lowest bidder or a bidder within 5% of the lowest bid, and cost-sharing will be based on the selected bid. A landowner wishing to select a bidder that is not within 5% will receive cost-sharing based on the lowest bid, the landowner will be responsible for paying the cost difference. Only contractors who have submitted a properly filled-out bid are eligible for consideration. If more or less work is approved with a change order and completed, the bid will be adjusted according to the per unit price on the accepted bid. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids without stated cause. The above projects shall be completed by the completion date listed above. Upon bid acceptance, in accordance with the Trempealeau County bidding procedures, a construction contract will need to be signed and a certificate of insurance must be submitted or be on file at the DLM office.
