In general, the work shall consist of furnishing all required bonds and insurances, general superintendence, labor, materials, equipment, appurtenances, mobilization, and incidentals required for replacing existing carpet and installing vinyl treads and risers on steps including, but not limited to, removal and disposal of existing carpet glued to floor surface; existing floor surface preparation with specified skim coat prior to new carpet installation; providing and installing specified carpet tiles where required using pressure sensitive adhesive; provide and install vinyl treads and risers where required; and all else necessary to satisfactorily complete the removal and replacement of carpet and vinyl treads and risers on steps. Value - $75,000 - $90,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the required form, certified check, letter of credit, or other security acceptable to the Borough in the amount of 10% of the total base bid amount. This contract is subject to current Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act conditions. This contract is subject to the Federal Occupational Safety & Health Act of 1970 (OSHA) conditions. This contract is subject to current PA Act 127 Public Works Employment Verification. Contractor must submit verification forms acknowledging compliance with the Federal law concerning the use of the E-Verify program. Providing verification is a pre-condition of the award of the contract. In addition, prior to commencing work on the project, the Contractor shall submit all subcontractor verification forms. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, with surety, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount. This contract is subject to the Non-discrimination in Employment / Contract Compliance Regulations conditions. The Borough of Ephrata reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to award the bid in the best interests of the Borough.
