Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways has scheduled the construction of 3 rip-rap groynes on the north shore of the North Saskatchewan River near Borden in 2022, involving grading. The Project will be tendered in June 2022, with construction anticipated for July 2022.The Consultant shall provide all engineering services for the construction administration of this Project Project Descriptions: Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways has scheduled the construction of 3 rip-rap groynes on the north shore of the North Saskatchewan River near Borden in 2022. This project must meet DFO requirements stated in Schedule A. Category of Work: Construction Administration - Grading Prequalified firms are invited to submit a long form proposal to provide engineering services for the above noted project. Prequalified Consultants being held in a probationary status at time of competition close, should reference the Professional Services Procurement Manual - PSPM 100-04 for additional information pertaining to their eligibility to participate in this competition. If you or anyone conducting work on your behalf have any questions please contact Scott Blair at (365) 292-2751 or by email at Scott.Blair@dfo-mpo.gc.ca.The proposed project of which the work, undertaking or activity authorized is a part of involves: Implementation of shoreline stabilization works on the North Saskatchewan River to address slope instability and scouring at the Borden Bridge highway crossing. The project works will include: the construction of a 260 metre (m) long, 5m high berm (from the river bed) along the east bank of the river to reinforce the slope; and 2m of granular riprap backfill, as well as geotextile, placed in the riverbed around the scoured bridge piers, including the construction of a temporary cofferdam, soil access berm, and fish salvage prior to construction. A series of three permanent upstream-facing groyne structures will be constructed below the High Water Mark (HWM), as a part of the Offsetting Plan for the creation of deep water overwintering habitat. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
