Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Frederick, Maryland. Completed plans call for the construction of a 7,000-square-foot, one-story above grade museum; for site work for a museum; playground / park / athletic field; and playground / park / athletic field.

Description of Work: The work is located at the following location: Located within Rose Hill Manor Park 1611 N. Market Street Frederick, Maryland 21701 Work of the Rose Hill Carriage Museum is defined by the Contract Documents and includes but is not limited to new construction of an approximately 7,000 gross square foot single story building for the purposes of housing and displaying antique carriages. Program also includes classroom, office, storage, and restrooms. General construction is slab on grade, wood framed walls, pre-engineered wood trusses; siding to be wood board and batten. Fire suppression will consist of clean agent fire suppression in the exhibit area only. Frederick County will obtain the required construction permits for the project. It shall be the successful contractor's responsibility to provide all other applicable permits The Contractor shall submit bid security in the form of Bid Bonds, Certified Checks, or Cashier's Checks in the amount of Five Percent (5%) of Bidder's maximum total project bid price, including Unit Price Contingent Items. Security shall be made payable to Frederick County, Maryland. The successful Bidder shall furnish performance and payment bonds covering the faithful performance of the Contract and payment of all obligations there under, each in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the total Contract Sum, including Unit Price Contingent Items. Anticipated Schedule: o Anticipated Notice of Award: April 2025 o Anticipated Notice to Proceed: May 2025 o Anticipated Completion: March 2026 All communications relative to the bid for this Work shall be directed to Justin Hedges, (301-600-1002), Procurement Supervisor prior to the opening of Bids and no later than February 24, 2025 by 4:00pm. Frederick County, Maryland also reserves the right to reject the bid of a Bidder who has previously failed to perform properly or to complete, on time, contracts of a similar nature,or the bid of a Bidder, who after investigation, is not able to perform the Contract.
