The selected Contractor shall furnish all equipment, labor, materials and resources for maintenance of a drainage structure and ditches. The project is located on residential property at 9840 Bold Camp Road, Pound, VA. Coordinates for the repair are approximately 3705'10.5" N and 82 32'16.2" W. Repair proposed for this project will include the following activities as directed by the Inspector: Excavate sediment downstream of the clogged concrete pipe and establish a trapezoidal gabion lined ditch. Excavate sediment in VDOT ditch that has clogged the inlet of the concrete pipe that crosses the road. Dispose all excavated material to a site determined by the Inspector. Re-establish VDOT ditch from wet seal discharge to inlet of concrete culvert. Place gravel on storage area utilized for project and cleanup any trash. The following generally highlights the services that the Contractor will be required to perform: A. Due to the nature of this job, provide equipment of appropriate size and capabilities to achieve all project goals as quickly as possible after notification to proceed. The Contractor shall include or address all items described in the scope of work described above and the Agency shall have a project inspector and/or team leader present as needed to document all critical project activities. B. Temporary sediment control measures for all land disturbance associated with the project shall be straw bales or silt fencing installed to help catch sediment. C. All required safety procedures for surface and subsurface utilities including electric, telephone, cables, guide wires and drainage, water, sewer, culverts and bridge structures, buildings or other structures will be strictly followed and adhered to. D. All rights of entry and permits for entry to the project area will be provided by the Division of Mined Land Reclamation. E. Contractor shall work closely with the Agency during the project process and keep the Agency advised of unexpected conditions encountered so the Agency can expedite any necessary changes to accommodate existing field conditions. F. Before permitting any excavation beyond the void area, contractor must contact Miss Utility ("Virginia 811") at 1-800-552-7001, to confirm the location of any below ground utility lines in the work area.
