Pound Water Treatment Plant Improvements Project Question Deadline 02/27/2024 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered plan holders. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. The Project includes the following Work: Division 1 - Improvements to the Pound Water Treatment Plant including, the replacement of 2 media filter tanks and filter media, surface wash plumbing, backwash pump, finish water pumps, filter consoles, chemical feed lines and injection points, doors, concrete steps and slab, service waterline to the water treatment plant, 2-4" flow control valves, and exterior paint on clarifier. Work also includes the installation of a new finish water pump station and building, bulk storage building and chemical totes, new chemical feed pumps, and all associated electrical services, lines, and panels. Division 2 - The construction and installation of a 500,000-gallon and a 350,000-gallon, glass-lined, bolted steel water storage tank, approximately 2,000 LF of 10-inch waterline, ten 10-inch gate valves, 1,500 LF of chain link fencing, and associated appurtenances. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract for each individual Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis. The Project is funded through the Virginia Department of Health Financial Construction Assistance Program (FCAP).
