Alterations to various recreational facilities. TIMELINE: The City of Fort Saskatchewan has issued a Request For Proposals from qualified consultants to provide a non-binding proposal for consulting, engineering and architect services as part of an Indoor Recreation Infrastructure Service Level Review for the City of Fort Saskatchewan. The intent of the review is to collect and assess information about the current indoor recreation infrastructure and programming that exists in the City of For Saskatchewan (i.e., aquatics, indoor ice and fitness and wellness spaces) it operates as well as considering future community demands and regional amenities. This work will consist of three key elements; an engineering study of the Harbour Pool, determination of current indoor recreation service level needs within the community, and an analysis of the ability to meet these service levels for the various components and in which facilities. To determine what which of Harbour Pool, Dow Centennial Centre offer the most efficient and effective opportunities for any proposed expansion. The intent is to generate recommends for an overarching strategy for providing additional recreation services and opportunities to expand facilities in the community, which may be implemented over the coming years. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
