This Invitation to Tender consists of the supply, delivery, and quality control inspection of 500 Galvanized metal sign posts - telescopic tubing (2" x 2" x 12'), 500 Galvanized metal sign posts - telescopic tubing (2" x 2" x 10') , and 700 Galvanized metal anchors (2 1/4" x 2 1/4" x 36"). See additional specifications below. By submitting a bid to this Invitation to Tender, the Vendor agrees to conduct on-site visits to locations as may be required for quality assurance/quality control purposes. All of the items shall be manufactured from 12 gauge (.105) strip steel structural quality. Post and anchors shall each be made from one piece of steel. All post to be hot dipped galvanized to c.S.A standard g-164m coating. Post must be hot dipped galvanized after all cutting and punching of holes are completed. Anchor's to be electro galvanized. Post, anchors and sleeves are to be complete with 1.11cm (7/16") diameter holes, 2.54cm (1") on center. Holes are to run the entire length of all four sides. CONTRACT AWARD CRITERIA Contract will be awarded to the lowest compliant bid which meets all of the Specification requirements (listed above) for Items 1 through 3 inclusive. Bids which meet the requirements will be evaluated based upon the lowest 'Total Including All Charges' price per for Items 1 through 3 inclusive. Prior to Contract award, the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure may consult with other departments and agencies of the Province of New Brunswick to obtain information on the Vendor's past performance within the previous five (5) years. Results from the aforementioned consultations that are unsatisfactory to the Department, in its sole and absolute discretion, will result in the disqualification of the Vendor's bid. Prior to Contract award, the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure may request a sample of the product(s) offered by interested Vendors. Results from the aforementioned samples that are unsatisfactory to the Department, in its sole and absolute discretion, will result in the disqualification of the Vendor's bid Security Deposits are currently not being accepted due to Covid-19.
