This project provides for the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment and work necessary for the rehabilitation of bridge No. WB-512 and B-458, work includes but is not limited to: concrete patching, high strength fiber wrap, asphalt resurfacing, and guide rail replacement. Work also includes maintenance and protection of traffic.Work items include, but are not limited to: 289 TON Superpave Asphalt Mixture, Wearing Course 2,098 SY Milling of Asphalt Pavement, 2" Depth 488 SY Milling of Asphalt Pavement to Existing Concrete Surface 18 SF Concrete Pavement Corner Repair 25 LF Guide Rail 154 CY Rock Armor, Modified 4,333 SF High Strength Fiber Wrap 931 SF Concrete Bridge Deck Underside Repair 4,496 SF Latex Modified Concrete Overlay Milepost 67.05 and Milepost 67.06 are located at the Irwin Interchange, Exit 67 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. The proposal and plans are published electronically in EBS and are available to registered business partners for downloading and printing. An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project. The opening and listing of bids not meeting all the terms and conditions of the bid advertisement or bid procedures does not act as a waiver or modification of any requirements contained in the bid advertisement or bid procedure. The Provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended, together with the rates and regulations promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry applicable thereto, shall apply to this contract.
