a) The Town of Edson requires the services of a qualified and certified outdoor rink specialist to design, build and install a new multi-season outdoor recreation facility. b) The Town of Edson Glenwood rink has reached the end of its lifespan. The Town of Edson has received a grant allowing it to replace the current structure with a new structure. c) For this Request for Proposal, the Town of Edson is interested in a qualified design-build team capable of sourcing and supplying services that meet or exceed the criteria stated in Section 7 Scope of Work. The Town of Edson requires the services of a qualified and certified outdoor rink specialist to engineer and install a new multi-season outdoor recreation facility. Successful proponents must meet all requirements as stated in the site Geotechnical report. All drawings must be certified by a qualified Professional Engineer Licensed in the Province of Alberta and in good standing with APEGA. Value added project: The Town of Edson desires to get the best value for their investment into this project. The Town of Edson has an all-in budget of $400,000. The scope of work listed below is our best estimate of the components we feel we can afford with our current budget. Proponents are encouraged to offer additional value-added components beyond the basic scope listed to add value to their proposals. Proponents are also encouraged to offer recommendations of reducing the scope of the project to meet the all-in budget if the suggested scope of project exceeds their capacity to deliver the recommended scope within the allotted budget.
