Bids shall be on a lump sum basis as indicated in the Bid Form. The work consists of constructing (complete with all equipment, accessories, and appurtenances) the following in accordance with the Bidding Documents heretofore prepared by Environmental Design & Research, Landscape Architecture, Engineering & Environmental Services, D.P.C. (EDR): Addition of effluent UV disinfection system, including the following: 1. In ground precast concrete structure UV Building, including heating and ventilation and means of access Piping, fittings and valving Electrical and Instrumentation appurtenances Modifications at the disinfected effluent discharge This project is funded by the New York State Department of Environmental Facilities through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund and a Water Quality Improvements Program Grant. Bidders should pay particular attention to requirements of each funding source and comply with them. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5 percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price and in the form of a certified check or a Bid Bond (on the form included in the Bidding Documents) issued by a surety meeting the requirements of the General Conditions. If, upon acceptance of a Bid, a Bidder fails to enter into a Contract with the Town of Lisbon, the bid security shall be forfeited to and become the property of the Town. No Bidder may withdraw its Bid within 60 days after the date of the Bid opening. The successful Bidder must furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond with a surety company satisfactory to the Town of Lisbon and conforming to the prerequisite requirements of the General Conditions on the forms included in the Bidding Documents. The Town of Lisbon reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all Bids.
