OVERVIEW: The Iowa DOT is seeking competitive bids from qualified contractors to provide cost to replace Ankeny Parking Lot Curb and Warning Pad at the DOT's Ankeny complex per the plans and specifications included in this solicitation. Remove and replace curb areas noted on plan and warning pads at ends of sidewalk. Work to be performed on weekends or evenings to avoid customer traffic. Reference plans, scope of work and photos. Project includes removal and disposal of the existing materials and demolition items off site. Work area to be cleaned upon project completion. Estimated project period is to begin September 1, 2022 with completion on or before June 30, 2023 or as determined in the pre-construction meeting by the DOT Project Manager. This includes punch list items and final inspection and acceptance by the Iowa DOT. It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule.
