The South Carolina Ports Authority (SCPA) is accepting bids for the North Hobson Extension Surcharge project. This project is the surcharge program to support the extension of North Hobson Avenue to Bainbridge Avenue. Work includes clearing, dewatering, placement of geogrid, installation of wick drains, construction of surcharge embankment and installation of settlement monitoring devices. This project is the surcharge program to support the extension of North Hobson Avenue to the Bainbridge Avenue/Bainbridge Connector intersection between stations 107+00 and 120+00. Work generally includes clearing of dense wooded area, dewatering, placement of geogrid, installation of wick drains, construction of surcharge embankment in anticipated staging, and installation of settlement monitoring devices.
