Applicants must be prequalified by the Department of Administrative Services (DAS), for the Classification of GENERAL BUILDING CONSTRUCTION (GROUP C) or PLUMBING to participate in this Prequalification Application. UConn Health (UCH) will be replacing the existing domestic hot water system in "F" (Canzonetti) and "H" (Connecticut Tower) Buildings located in the sub basement at UConn Health 263 Farmington Avenue, Farmington, CT. The project includes demolition of existing domestic hot water system, installation of One (1) steam to water heat exchanger and Three (3) 144 KW electric instantaneous water heaters and all associated plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems. Domestic hot water is currently generated for a portion of the UCONN Health Center via redundant systems. One method is via electric instantaneous while the other is steam generated with storage. . The design team consists of Silver Petrucelli and Associates for MEP engineering disciplines. The areas served include (UCH's) commercial kitchen, NICU (neonatal intensive care unit), and other hospital areas.
