Renovation of a residential development in Ansonia, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

Ansonia is requesting proposals from licensed lead-based paint testing and risk assessment for its Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program. SCOPE OF SERVICES As part of the program requirements, residences built prior to 1978 must be inspected for lead paint hazards and reduction and control measures. Currently, the City of Ansonia is seeking proposals from licensed lead-based paint risk assessors/managers to assist in this work. Work will include conducting XRF-based lead-based paint risk assessments; scope of work preparation for lead hazard reduction/abatement; soil sampling, clearance testing; and management and abatement plan writing, as applicable. The properties to be tested will include approximately ten scattered site, primarily single family owned/occupied homes. In all aspects of work-whether risk assessment or planning and design--firms shall follow HUD (24 CFR Part 35 Subpart J) and State of Connecticut Department of Health Lead Paint Regulations. Proposals are encouraged from Section 3, SBE, MBE and WBE individuals and firms. All proposals will be recorded as they are received. There will be no public reading or viewing of proposals. All proposals shall remain firm and cannot be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after receipt. Questions will be received until July 20, 2022 at 5pm. All information given by the City of Ansonia, except this RFP and any written addenda, shall be informal and shall not be binding upon the City of Ansonia. INTENT AND GENERAL INFORMATION On behalf of The City of Ansonia Signal Rock Consulting LLC is requesting proposals from licensed lead-based paint testing and risk assessment services for its Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program. The selected consultant shall be responsible for compliance will all federal, state and local statues, and regulations. All services provided shall be consistent with the requirement and guidelines of the HUD Office of Healthy Home and Lead Hazard Control and the State of Connecticut.
