Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in South Burlington, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; for paving for a transportation facility; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

The work generally consists of the construction of a new general aviation aircraft parking apron off the end of Taxiway G. The work includes earth excavation, rock excavation removal of existing asphalt pavements, construction of new full depth P-401 HMA pavement, mill and overlay of P-401 pavement, new pavement markings, new and temporary fencing, new drainage system including the construction of underground treatment and storage chambers, new trench drains, new drainage pipe, new drainage structures Prospective bidders are asked to provide information on whether their company is listed as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) in the state where the work will be performed in order to comply with FAA regulations. Prospective bidders will be asked to provide this information at time of plan purchase. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in the bidding or to reject any or all bids. Each bidder must deposit with their bid, security in the amount of 5% of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the General Provisions. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. Information Submitted as a matter of bidder responsiveness: The Owner's award of this contract is conditioned upon Bidder or Offeror satisfying the good faith effort requirements of 49 CFR 26.53. As a condition of bid responsiveness, the Bidder or Offeror must submit the following information with its proposal on the forms provided herein: 1) The names and addresses of Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firms that will participate in the contract; 2) A description of the work that each DBE firm will perform; 3) The dollar amount of the participation of each DBE firm listed under (1) 4) Written statement from Bidder or Offeror that attests their commitment to use the DBE firm(s) listed under (1) to meet the Owner's project goal; and 5) If Bidder or Offeror cannot meet the advertised project DBE goal, evidence of good faith efforts undertaken by the Bidder or Offeror as described in appendix A to 49 CFR part 26. The Contractor on this work will be required to comply with the equal employment opportunity requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration and the Burlington International Airport DBE Program. No bidder may withdraw their bid prior to December 8, 2022.
