Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Garden City, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.
The City of Garden City is seeking proposals from qualified artists or teams of artists to create a mural for a new Fitness Court in Garden City, KS. The new structure will be located within Southeast Community Park. The Rear Wall is 384"w x 85.75"h (32'x ~7') and will be one of the largest artistic focal pieces of the new park. In addition, there are four (4) additional areas available for graphics called the Front Wall Windows. The Front Wall Window dimensions are as follows: Window 1 (34.5"w x 32.5"h) Window 2 (33.5"w x 32.5"h) Window 3 (48.75"w x 32.5"h) Window 4 (77.75"w x 32.5"h) The selected artist will receive a $5,000 award from the National Fitness Campaign's Artists Grant. Proposals may be selected based on design, applicant's qualifications and how well the design fits within the project guidelines.
