Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Lisbon, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The work consists of the replacement of an existing bridge with a new concrete box culvert on Bundy Hill Road including dewatering, diversion of water, and surface restoration in accordance with the bid documents. Bid surety in the form of cash, a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of this bid is required. The successful bidder shall also furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to award any item, group of items, or total bid, and to waive any informality in the bids received if it deems it to be in the best interest of the Town to do so. No Bidder may withdraw their bid within 90 days after the actual date of bid opening thereof. Should there be reason why the contract cannot be awarded within the specific period, this time may be extended by mutual agreement between the Town and the designated, qualified low Bidder. This contract is subject to State set-aside and contract compliance requirements as out lined in the Information to Bidders. The Town is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
