Renovation of a mixed-use development in Mississauga, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

General Contractors are hereby invited to submit their credentials to pre-qualify for tendering on the General Contracting Services Interior Office Space Renovations. General Contractors are invited to submit their credentials to pre-qualify to participate in an upcoming procurement process for General Contracting Services For Interior office Space Renovations. Approximately five (5) top-ranked respondents will be pre-qualified to bid on this project. As part of the Office Space Strategy (OSS) program, the City is implementing changes to co-locate staff in Mississauga City hall and the Ontario Court of Justice in order to vacate the City's leased space at 201 City Centre Drive. The Ontario Court of Justice is located at 950 Burnhamthorpe Road West, Mississauga. The building is a 2-storey, 126,643.65 sq. ft (11,765.58 sq.m) administrative facility that houses the Provincial Offences Court and multiple City divisions - Clerks, Parks and Facilities & Property Management. Mississauga City Hall is located at 300 City Centre Drive, Mississauga. The building is a 12-storey, 401,278.58 sq. ft (37,280 sq.m) administrative facility that houses multiple City divisions, including the City Manager, Mayor and Council and the Council Chamber. The impact of these changes is being addressed with building renovation and retrofit of the interior spaces on select floors in both buildings. The building areas within the scope will be closed to staff and the public during renovation work. Each renovation will be tendered separately as a stand-alone project, and pre-qualified vendors will be able to bid on each project independently of each other. Renovation projects will include: - Updates to 11,525 sq. ft of the administrative space of the first floor at 950 Burnhamthorpe Road West; - Updates to the 8,400 sq. ft of the administrative space on the 8th floor at 300 City Centre Drive, Mississauga; - Decommissioning activities to the 40,000 sq. ft leased administrative space of the 8th and 9th floors at 201 City Centre Drive, Mississauga; - Selective demolition and interior alterations to accommodate the design changes, which will include updates to the building interior finishes and mechanical and electrical systems in accordance with the City Accessibility and Energy Standards, including the Corporate Green Building Standards (where applicable), and CPTED principles; - Coordination of sub-Respondent activities required for the integration of two (2) High-Density Mobile File Carriage Units facilitated by the City's Space Planning team; - Integration of the new equipment/systems into the Fire Alarm system; - Testing and commissioning, verification and certification of systems; - Coordination and scheduling of all trades and suppliers of the respective work, components and equipment, which may include the following: structural, building envelope, roofing, fire protection, mechanical, electrical and all other trades required to complete the scope of work; - Proper disposal off-site of materials; - To maintain site safety throughout the construction phase of the project through effective implementation of construction safety programs; - Other work as specified and as required; - The projects will be tendered and delivered using the Canadian Construction Documents Committee CCDC-2 2008, Standard Stipulated Price Contract with City Amendments.
