The project requires the procurement and transportation of light, loose, riprap rock (approved by the US Army Corps of Engineers for Shoreline/Coastal Protection) from an approved quarry or storage site to the repair sites at the northern end of Samish Bay Dike at Bow, Washington. The contractor will be required to meet federal, state, and local requirement for such work. District No. 4 will act in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Reg- ulations, Department of Transportation issued pur- suant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract en- tered into pursuant to this advertisement.
