Site work for a water / sewer project in Kelso, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

As of August 23rd, 2022, project was awarded to Pacific Civil & Infrastructure (PCI) and the amount is $947,335.62. Start date not determined. The work to be performed under this contract includes the replacement of approximately 1,417 linear feet of transmission main from Yelton Drive to Niblett Way across public right-of-way and private property. The project will install 12-inch inside diameter high density polyethylene (HPDE) and ductile iron pipe and associated appurtenances. The project site is considered remote and includes work along unimproved and narrow utility easement, steep slopes, and an above grade creek crossing. The alignment follows an existing overhead power easement. Excavation conditions range from glacial till to expansive clays. The project also includes the construction of a pressure reducing station and connections to the existing water system. The District hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into, pursuant to this advertisement, minority and women's business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to the invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (small, minority- and women-owned businesses) are encouraged to submit bids. The District in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of yransporta.tion issued pursuant to such Act, here-by notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not. be discriminated against on grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award. This project. is funded through the Washington State Drinking Water State :Revolving Fund pro-gram with federal funds from the Environmental Protection Agency as well as funds from Washington State Direct Appropriation and local funds. DWSRF requirements must be met; by general contractors and all subcontractors. All work on this project will be sub-ject, to the higher of either the state prevailing wages or federal wage rates. Additionally, this project is subject to the Buy American Requirements Use of American Iron and Steel as defined in the Safe Drinking Water Act: (42 U.S.(', 300j-12). The Contractor shall be licensed in the State of Washington. The Contractor shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin or sex in the performance of this contract. The Contractor shall carry out applicable requirements of 40 CR, Part: 33 in the award. and administration of contracts awarded under EPA financial assistance agreements. Failure by the Contractor to carry out these requirements is a material breach of this Contract which may result; in the termination of this Contract. All proposals must be submit-ted on the regular form furnished with the specifications in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the name of the bidder, the name of the project, and the date and time of the bid opening. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond in an amount equal to at ].east 5 percent of the amount of such bid propos-al. Checks shall be made payable to the District. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract, and furnish satisfactory performance and payment bond within the time stated in the Specifications, the bid proposal deposit s:hall be forfeited to the District. The District reserves the right to waive informalities in the bidding, accept a Proposal of the lowest responsible. Bidder, reject any or all bids, republish the Advertisement. for Bids, revise or cancel the work, or require the work to be done in another way if th.e best interest of the District is served. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
