Sarasota County intends to award a sole source procurement and to enter into a multiyear contract with Barneys Pumps, Inc. for the provision of Fairbanks Nijhuis and Aurora-Layne-Vertiline pumps, parts, and service. In the event respondents demonstrate the ability to supply the same or substantially similar products and/or services, the County may, in its sole discretion, elect to cancel this sole source and advertise a competitive solicitation. Description: Per correspondence from Pentair Flow Technologies, dated January 5, 2022, regarding Fairbanks Nijhuis (formerly Fairbank Morse) and the Layne Verti line turbine products, Barney's Pumps, Inc. is the sole distributor serving the municipal market in the state of Florida (exclusive of the panhandle counties) for the Fairbanks Nijhuis and the Layne Verti line turbine products. In addition, Barney's Pumps are the sole facility authorized to provide new pumps, replacement OEM parts, warranty service and repair for products. Any vendor who believes they can provide the goods and/or services described in the attached sole source documentation should respond to this ISS by the date specified.
