Lake County Administrative Office seeks sealed proposals from a qualified firm to assist the County in developing an Implementation Plan (to include identifying and applying for grant funding to implement the implementation plan) to improve broadband service in the County of Lake that benefits county residents, first responders, emergency management personal, local government agencies and businesses. The Implementation Plan will be based on all or part of the 2019 Lake County Master Broadband Plan Telecommunications Infrastructure Report, see Attachment A drafted by Upstate California Connect Consortium and SCU Chico, Geographical Information Center. This plan provides a comprehensive assessment of the broadband coverage, service needs and recommendations to deploy broadband and/or make the County's communications infrastructure more resilient. Access to internet in rural areas of Lake County continues to be challenging to address. Since 2017, wildfires and Pacific Gas and Electric's Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) increased the need to have access to the internet so residents and visitors are able to receive critical, emergency information in a timely manner. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
