The Redevelopment Authority of the County of Monroe (Authority) will receive sealed bids for Residential Heating System Repair and Replacement work for the Monroe County Weatherization Program (MCWP). The selected contractor(s) will provide the following: installations and/or repairs of home heating systems (furnaces, mobile home furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, electric baseboard); tune and clean of existing heating systems, client education, and emergency response within 48 hours of notification when indicated on qualified residences in Monroe County. All work is authorized, coordinated and approved by the Authority. All Bids will be held firm for the time period of October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023. The Monroe County Weatherization Program is supported by grant funds that are administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (PA DCED). The Authority encourages the participation of Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE) and Section 3 residents and businesses. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof and to waive technicalities as it deems best in the interest of the Authority. Bids will be held by the Authority for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the Bidders, prior to awarding of the contract.
