Grasshopper Slough Levee, Wheatland, Yuba County Description of Work: The project consists mainly of removal of two pipe penetrations from the levee embankment and placement of embankment fill, filling of the landside ditch, plus an optional bid item for aggregate base to cover the entire length of levee crown along Grasshopper Slough in Wheatland, CA. The project consists mainly of removal of two pipe penetrations from the levee embankment, placement of approximately 2,800 cubic yards of fill for pipe removal, and filling of the landside ditch. An optional bid item includes 500 tons of aggregate base to cover the entire length of levee crown. The embankment fill material will come from an off-site borrow pit(s).
