As of October 9, 2025, construction is expected to start in early 2026. Completion is targeted for 2030. This project was awarded to the Walsh-VINCI Transit Community Partners. The Work to be performed includes but is not limited to the demolition, remediation, and site restoration of industrial, commercial, multi-family, and single-family properties including accessory buildings on acquired properties for the Red Line Extension (RLE) project located at: Parcel No. RLE-115: 11426 S. Perry Avenue Parcel No. RLE-308-PA: 11414 & 11424 S. Perry Avenue The Work includes the following, which may or may not be a complete list: Removal of buildings including garages. Removal of foundations up to 2’ below grade or up to 8’ below grade at alley/ utility dedication locations, as noted in the drawings. Break concrete slab and fill basement. Disconnection of existing utilities. Remediation/abatement of hazardous materials Removal of Underground Storage Tanks and associated piping Removal of contaminated soils Restoration Construction is anticipated to start late October / early November 2025. Completion is expected to take 210 days.
