Site work for a water / sewer project in Norton Shores, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The City of Norton Shores is seeking sealed bids for the Sanitary Sewer and Water Main Improvements -- Contract B project. The work will include approximately 2,100' of 8"and 10" sanitary sewer, removal of 2 sanitary lift stations, placement of 1 sanitary sewer lift station, 530' of 6" force main, 4,750' of 6", 8", and 12" water main including fittings and appurtenances, 1,600' of roadway grading/reconstruction/restoration, 200' of storm sewer replacement, traffic control, restoration, and all related work. Construction shall be per the Michigan Department of Transportation 2020 Standard Specifications for Construction and attached specifications. The Contractor may begin the work once a Notice to Proceed has been issued. The City has ordered the ductile iron water main pipe materials for this project and expects delivery of the material around April 3, 2023. All sanitary sewer work shall be completed by July 28, 2023 (depending on the availability of materials) with all other work completed by September 30, 2023 (depending on the availability of materials). A certified check, bank draft, or bid bond in the sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal will be required with each bid. The City will award the project in a manner determined to be in the City's best interest. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids in the City's best interest.
