As of October 13, 2022, the project has been awarded, however, information regarding the awarded general contractor has not been confirmed at this time. The material to be installed includes 8" PVC SDR 26 sanitary sewer pipe, 8" PVC cap, 8" x 8" x 4" PVC wyes, 4" PVC SDR 26 sanitary sewer laterals and 4" PVC caps; standard 4' diameter Sanitary Sewer Manholes with cast in connectors with mandrels and 3" concrete adjustment rings and trench plugs as shown on the construction drawings and in accordance with the Contract Documents. All piping, laterals, trench plug, and manhole installations will be performed along Salem Boulevard, Berwick, PA 18603 as identified on the Plans. ALL MATERIALS HAVE BEEN PREVIOUSLY PURCHASED, PROJECT IS FOR INSTALLATION ONLY. All piping and trench plug related items are currently located in the vicinity of 769 Salem Boulevard. All Manhole related items are kept at the Manufacturer's site and are to be delivered to the vicinity of 769 Salem Boulevard, Berwick, PA 18603 once work commences. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 10 percent of the total Bid price, payable to the Berwick Area Joint Sewer Authority, as a guarantee that the Bidder, if its Bid is accepted, will promptly obtain the required Payment Bond and Insurance, prepare the required submittal documents and execute the Agreement. The Bidder shall include the fully completed Non-Collusion Affidavit with the bid. All Time is of the essence. Bids shall be submitted upon forms furnished by the Berwick Area Joint Sewer Authority. The Berwick Area Joint Sewer Authority reserves the right to award to the most responsible Bidder on Bid Schedule and reject any part of and/or all Bids as it may best serve the interest of the Owner. The Berwick Area Joint Sewer Authority reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any irregularities, and to negotiate contract amounts.
