Renovation of a mixed-use development in Schwenksville, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
If additional information is required concerning the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents all questions must be submitted in writing through the PennBid Program by Tuesday, September 27, 2022 by 2:00 PM Each bid must include Bid Security, a certified check, bank check or bid bond issued by a surety licensed to conduct business in the state of PA, in the amount of 10% of the total contract amount, including all add alternates, payable to Schwenksville Borough Authority. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract amount will be required to be furnished by the successful bidder with a corporate surety approved by Schwenksville Borough Authority. Bidding will be public, utilize Pennsylvania State Prevailing Wage Rates established by the Commonwealth of PA Department of Labor and Industry and be received in One (1) Prime Bid for the Building Renovations. The bid shall include all General Construction, Mechanical Construction, Electrical Construction, and Plumbing Construction. The Project falls under the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012, 43 P.S. A167.1, which requires all public work contractors and subcontractors to utilize the Federal Government E-Verify system to ensure that all employees performing work on public work projects are authorized to work in the United States. All Bidders are required to submit a Public Works Employment Verification Form as a precondition for the Contract Award. All bidders will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this notice and will not be subjected to discrimination on the basis of gender, sex, age, disability, race, color, creed, ethnicity, national origin or other protected classification in consideration for an award. Similarly, the successful bidder shall not discriminate against or intimidate any employee involved in any activity required under the contract on account of gender, sex, age, disability, race, color, creed, ethnicity, national origin or other protected classification
