The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) State Highway Administration (SHA) is soliciting bids for a qualified contractor to provide Security Gate replacement at the Dayton Maintenance Facility located at 4401 State Route 32, Dayton, MD 21036. This work includes all labor, materials, parts, service, and transportation to ensure the satisfactory performance of the Security Gate replacement. This will be a Lump Sum Bid. The Contractor shall inspect work to ensure proper installation in accordance with the specification in the Invitation for Bids The successful contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, tools, transportation, equipment, and materials necessary to perform all work in accordance with this specification and scope of work in the manner called for, and to the satisfaction of the State Highway Administration, Contract Manager, Mr. Jim Jones, Resident Maintenance Engineer. Contractor shall have a minimum of 5 years experience in performing similar structural repairs. All work to be done in a safe manner, adhering to OSHA and MOSH regulations and standards. Contractor will be responsible for the removal and dispose of existing gate and other debris from SHA property. Furnish and install (1) 8 high X approximately 48 wide aluminum slide gate. Slide gate (if applicable) and chain link material to be black vinyl coated and 3 strands of barb wire at 1 above top gate frame for approximately 35 Existing posts to remain. New Slide gate to be hooked to the existing slide gate operator, drive chain adjusted to proper tension and tested for proper operation. The Procurement Officer is Chris Lookingbill. It is the contractor responsibility to ensure that written questions have been received by the Procurement Officer or designee before the deadline.
