This project is for the wastewater holding tank upgrades at Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) Dayton Maintenance Facility in Howard County (District 7). The work will upgrade the existing wash bay wastewater storage system, including but not limited to all associated piping and appurtenances, tank sensors and alarm console. The upgrade includes removal of liquids and sludges and abandon in-place of an existing oil-water-separator (OWS) system and associated standpipe. In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance, or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00. Project Cost Class C - $500,000 to $1,000,000 The MDOT SHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids. It is the goal of MDOT SHA that Disadvantaged and/or Minority Business Enterprises participate in all Federal Aid and State contracts, as applicable.
