As of 9/29/2022 Per Sally Keiser The bids accepted by the Darke County Commissioners on September 20, 2022 all exceeded the Engineer’s Estimate, so no award was possible. The work consists of the replacement of approximately 4,900 S.F. of sidewalk. Bids will only be accepted from bidders who have obtained the Contract Documents from the Darke County Grants Office and are therefore registered as a planholder. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code or a certified check in the amount of 10% of the Bid. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the Proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity. The Owner intends and requires that the project be completed no later than October 31, 2022. Additionally, attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in the Contract Documents and on the plans, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions including the Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage Rates, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a 100% Performance and Payment Bond. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Darke County Board of Commissioners and the Village of Hollansburg reserve the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive any informalities in the bidding, and to enter into a contract with the bidder whom in their consideration offered the lowest and best proposal.
