The Town of Belmont (The Town) is seeking proposals from qualified companies with experience in the historic preservation of cemeteries to generate a Preservation Master Plan with Treatment Recommendations. To research, prepare and present a comprehensive preservation master plan with treatment recommendations consisting of both narrative and graphic elements for Belmont Cemetery. This would include the features that contribute to the character of the cemetery including both hardscape, landscape features and landscape elements. It is expected that the chosen firm would lead/participate in a limited number of public meetings over the course of the project. Any questions regarding this Invitation for Bid must be submitted to the Director of Public Works or his/her representative in writing no less than five days before the date for opening of bids. Any response to questions shall be made in the form of a written addendum to this Invitation to Bid, which addendum shall be delivered to all persons on record as having received the Invitation to Bid. The contractor shall provide a statement describing the proposed approach to the Scope of Work stating what work the consultant proposes for the project and how the consultant proposes to complete the work - contents, tasks and phasing, schedule showing milestones /decision points, the proposed public process, submittals, who is doing what, etc. The consultant should include a list of desired Town historical resources that the contractor believes will assist with completion of the project. The price proposal shall provide a separate price for each of the main categories shown in the proposed approach to the Scope of Work.
