**As of November 11, 2022, this project has been awarded to WSB Excavation in the amount of $125,931.09 This project entails the replacement of approximately 1,100 linear feet of Asbestos Concrete (AC) water main that is located within a utility easement on Washington Trucking's property with Ductile Iron (DI) water main. The existing AC water main is active, serves several commercial businesses, and cannot be taken out of service for installation of the new DI water main. The new DI water main will be installed within the same utility easement and must maintain a minimum 5-foot separation from the existing AC water main; this will require potholing to determine exact location of the AC water main to keep the minimum 5-foot separation. Once the DI water main is active, the AC water main will be abandoned in-place. PROJECT SCOPE OF WORK: a) Work for this project entails the provision of labor, equipment and expertise to install approximately 1,100 linear feet of new 12-inch and 8-inch ductile water main and appurtenances per referenced specifications, and project construction drawings included in Attachment #3. b) The City of Arlington will provide all water main infrastructure material for this project; including pipe, gaskets, bends, valves, fittings, fire hydrants, meters, corp stops, service lines, etc. c) CONTRACTOR shall provide labor, equipment and expertise to install the City provided water infrastructure and provide concrete, rebar, and asphalt as required by the referenced specifications, and project construction drawings to complete the project and site restoration. d) CONTRACTOR shall perform a final site walk through with the City Project Manager to ensure that all debris has been removed, that all work items have been completed, and that the site has been returned to normal function and operation. The Firm With the Successful Bid (Contractor) Shall Perform This Work During Established City of Arlington Working Days and Times; Monday-friday, 7:00 Am to 7:00 Pm, Excluding City Recognized Holidays.
